Agnès has always been keen to discover new artists. As she explained in 2008: "What jumps out at me is the taste I have for youth, for people who are searching, who are unsure, who doubt. But that applies just as much to Harmony Korine as it does to Jonas Mekas, who for me is still young. It's not a question of age, it's a state of mind, a way of looking at things."
