This book, produced in collaboration with the Tara Ocean Foundation, is a retrospective of the artists who have been on board of Tara for 20 years. It is a unique opportunity to highlight the Ocean, its little-known biodiversity, its role in the climate machine and the pollution that impacts it today, through the prism of art.
The book is divided into five main themes: Pollution, Landscapes, Living Things, Sensitivity and Travelogues. As a counterpoint to these artistic proposals, elements of scientific enlightenment extend the perception of the works, bringing together the scientific rigour of these marine expeditions with the imagination of the artists.
This book is part of a collection that extends the Civis Maritimus programme created by the Eyes Wide Open association, whose aim is to encourage greater understanding of the link between humans and the marine world and, more broadly, to stimulate a sense of citizenship of the sea.
