Matheus Mestiço is a self-taught Brazilian artist born in 1987. He spent his childhood in Minas Gerais, where, starting in 2014, he attended many festivals that inspired his work.

For him, movement is at the beginning of all things, and its work is at its starting point, contemplating the magic of time. Through intuitive coding, it constitutes a pictorial narration based on shapes, elements, and moments linked to enchantment, and it has art to organize in the form of a cabinet of curiosities. By choosing his signature artistic style (mestiço means mixed race), he questions the place of mixed race as a Brazilian ethnic-racial identity. In 2023, he was selected for the prestigious PIPA prize, and his work has been shown as part of the collective exhibition "Afirmação: Brazil, the affirmation of a generation" at the Galerie du Jour agnès b.
