A longstanding partnership between agnès b. and the Écrans Mixtes Festival

The collaboration between the Écrans Mixtes Festival and agnès b. is a longstanding one, with the boutique having become a key location for the festival’s launch over the years. This partnership highlights the strong connection between the world of fashion and the art of cinema, which Agnès has been nurturing throughout the years.

Since 1975, agnès b. has championed cinema through fashion, designing t-shirts and accessories in tribute to film, while her boutiques have long showcased movie posters and exhibitions. Deeply inspired by black-and-white films and the effortless elegance of the French New Wave, Agnès has also directed short fashion films and collaborated with legendary filmmakers. She has styled costumes for iconic directors such as William Klein (Who Are You, Polly Maggoo?), François Truffaut (Confidentially Yours), Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction), and David Lynch (Mulholland Drive).

Beyond fashion, agnès b. has actively supported the film industry, founding Love Streams agnès b. productions (1997-2014) and backing visionary directors like Gaspar Noé, Claire Denis, and Harmony Korine. Today, her commitment endures through partnerships with festivals such as Écrans Mixtes in Lyon, the Sarajevo Film Festival, and the Marseille International Film Festival, as well as institutions like Anthology Film Archives in New York and film libraries in Paris and Tangier.
