Music has always been a cornerstone of the agnès b. universe. From the moment Agnès opened her first boutique in 1975 at 3 rue du Jour, Paris, music became an integral part of her brand’s DNA. Back then, vinyl records played on repeat in her shops, inviting visitors to explore eclectic sounds while browsing her collections. "I love music" wasn’t just a phrase printed on a T-shirt—it was a true artistic and cultural commitment.

Agnès quickly connected with music icons like David Bowie, Chet Baker, and Patti Smith while championing emerging bands and independent labels. From collaborating with record companies to hosting exclusive listening sessions in her boutiques, she consistently stayed ahead of her time.
In the 2000s, Agnès introduced interactive audio stations in her stores, allowing visitors to discover tracks curated by the designer herself. These "music boxes" became a staple in her boutiques across Europe and Asia, embodying her mission to shine a light on independent artists and labels—young, vibrant, and just as independent as agnès b.
A tailored musical experience
Since 2018, agnès b. has been one of the few fashion brands to offer an uninterrupted, ad-free web radio available across Europe, Asia, and the United States. Streamed in boutiques and accessible online, the station features a curated playlist of over 12,000 tracks spanning indie rock, pop, folk, and electronic genres.
The web radio also showcases new releases from numerous independent labels and record stores, such as Rough Trade, Pan European Recording, Born Bad Records, Tigersushi, Versatile, Infiné, and Talitres. By championing these creative voices, agnès b. reinforces her dedication to the world of music.
