Did you miss her debut album “Simple Sentences” ?! Let us introduce you to the latest signing at Tigersushi Records: Shoko Igarashi!

With this second record Shoko unveils a new genre called “Onsen Music”. Each track invites you on a relaxing journey, much like soaking away your troubles in the steamy hot waters of a traditional Japanese spa (Onsen). The variety of songs mimic the variety of onsens, some are salty and scorching, some are smooth and clear, some are bubbly and colorful, and others are a refreshing dip into crisp clear waters. In every instance, there's a sense of satisfaction as soothing and delightful as the tracks themselves.

This ode to “relax”, while remaining irresistibly danceable, is filled with good vibrations, melodies and hooks that go straight to the heart, saxophone playing virtuosity, intricate electronic compositions, vocals that make us dream of new worlds, and beats that could keep us on a dancefloor all night long.

John Glacier's debut album ‘Like a Ribbon’ on Young

After years of garnering acclaim across the underground and mainstream for a singular, boundary-pushing stream of consciousness sound, London based rapper, producer and poet John Glacier’s debut album, Like A Ribbon, will finally be released via Young (The xx/FKA twigs/Sampha etc.) on February 14th 2025. A dreamlike portrayal of the journey from a simple existence growing up in Hackney, to projecting stories to the world while aiming to maintain a semblance of normalcy in what is a very extraordinary life, Like A Ribbon fuses rap, electronic music, post-punk and so much more across 11 wildly diverse tracks, already spawning singles ‘Money Shows’ (ft. Eartheater), ‘Steady As I Am’, ‘Cows Come Home’, and ‘Found’. Today sees the final taste of the album’s eclectic fusion of sounds before its release in the form of new single ‘Ocean Stepping’, which features forward-thinking soul luminary Sampha.

"Teenager of The Year" by Frank Black, reedition on 4AD records

Described as 'the best album the Pixies never made', Frank Black's Teenager of The Year is being re-released on gold vinyl to mark its 30th anniversary. Pitchfork named it one of the 100 best albums of the '90s. The album is also included in the book 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die, while The Quietus said in 2014: "'Teenager Of The Year' feels like a lost Pixies album in the same way that 'Ram' feels like a lost Beatles album. It's colossal, bursting with innovation."
