In 2022 French Music day, agnès b. presented its new artist T-shirt in tribute to the musician, visual artist and poet Alan Vega.
Agnès has always appreciated the work of the New Yorker who co-founded Suicide in 1970, before embarking on a brilliant solo career. She had the artist play at the concert organised in 2006 at the Olympia to mark the 30th anniversary of the Maison. In 2010, she also supported the production of the album Sniper by Marc Hurtado and Alan Vega.
The T-shirt featured two of her songs, Invasion and Murder One, released two decades apart. Invasion was recorded at the end of the 2012-2015 studio sessions for the posthumous album IT. Murder One was recorded in 1997-1998 but had not been mixed until then. The two tracks have been brought together on an EP, Invasion b/w Murder One, released in February 2022 by Sacred Bones Records, with the support of agnès b. This record illustrates the timelessness of Alan Vega's unreleased tracks.
