Adrien Beau's first film hit theater last Wednesday.
After arousing rave reviews and have been shown at the Venice Film Festival, the film by French visual artist Adrien Beau finally hit theaters last Wednesday.
Co-produced by agnès b., which has accompanied Adrien Beau from the outset and exhibited his work several times, the film adapts a fantastic short story by Aleksei Konstantinovich Tolstoy (Leon's distant cousin), published in 1884. The 16mm film used to shoot Vourdalak (and financed by agnès b., who has always been very keen on analog and film) contributes to the hazy, strange atmosphere of this unique movie.
