Harmony Korine at La Fab.
La Fab. is showcasing the works of the American artist that Agnès has been collecting since 1997.
This is the largest collection of Harmony Korine’s pieces in the world. Assembled by Agnès over three decades, it has been housed at La Fab. for a few weeks now and tells the story of thirty years of creations by this iconic figure of American underground art. A filmmaker, writer, and visual artist, his works offer a sidelong view of America.
"There’s something between us, as if we were children together. It’s not about support; it’s about friendship," says Agnès. "I liked her immediately; she had something special. She’s like a soulmate or something like that—very sensitive to artists," explains Harmony Korine. Their friendship began in a hotel corridor in Venice in 1999 (link to podcast) and has continued ever since. They’ve collaborated on numerous projects, and over nearly 30 years, Agnès has gathered an impressive collection of his works. All of these pieces are featured in this exceptional retrospective.
