First, there was the Fifre, a double-breasted jacket designed by Agnès in the early 1980s, inspired by Édouard Manet’s 1866 painting Young Flautist. A little over ten years later, in the summer of 1994, Agnès wanted to simplify the buttoning of this classic and modernize its silhouette. The Tambourin was born. Since then, its sleek design has lent itself to countless fabric variations, from velvet to cotton to lambskin. Still made in France, the Tambourin has also become a timeless piece of agnès b.
